Day to day

Customers

The directory every booking fills in, how people are matched, and their history.

Everyone who books — on your booking page, at the front desk or through the API — is added to your customer directory automatically. Open it from Customers in the rail. The heading says how many customers are on file.

How customers are matched

When a booking comes in, CalendarBook looks for an existing customer by phone number first, then email. A match adds the booking to that customer's history; no match creates a new customer. That is why the phone number is required by default — it is how a regular is recognised, whatever name they type this time.

The list

  • Search by name, phone or email.
  • Columns: Customer, Contact, Bookings, Last visit and Customer since.
  • Each row's menu: Booking history, Edit details and Delete customer.

Use New customer to add someone before they book. Every role — Owner, Admin, Provider and Staff — can add and edit customers.

Price and paid

Each booking can carry a price and whether it was paid (open the booking on the board). The Home page adds up what was collected as Revenue, and counts new customers each month.
